I am Accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
These organisations are the largest professional bodies for counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK and ensure the highest professional standards.
I have a MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and I have been working in this field for over 20 years. I am trained in EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. I also hold a Diploma in Group and Individual Supervision and a Certificate in Group work. I continue to be committed to a regular programme of continued professional development to increase my skills and knowledge. I undertake a minimum of 30 hours of additional Continuous Professional Development (CPD) annually to keep updated on the latest research results as well as new information in the field and current topics.
Membership and Professional Bodies
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and previously the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP). These professional bodies have codes of ethics to which I adhere and complaints procedures which ensure the highest standards of confidentiality and professional practice. I also belong to the EMDR Association UK.
I see clients in private practice in Southborough, Tunbridge Wells and I have many years of clinical experience. I also have many years of experience of running therapeutic programmes both in the community and in organisational settings.
I have been delivering training to professionals and in the community for several years.
I also work as a Clinical Supervisor to other counsellors, working with individuals and groups. I have many years of experience of working as a supervisor and completed my Diploma training with Cascade.
In all the work I do, I am passionate about coming alongside others to help empower them as they move forward more effectively in their lives.
